New Hope Club Welcomes a New Era
Written By: Zaylee Bell
New Hope Club are entering a new era of being completely unapologetically themselves with their new singles, music videos, and upcoming album.
If you have not heard of New Hope Club yet, keep reading, because the young British trio is set to release their sophomore album. So far, they have released six singles off the record. Most recently, they released the pop-rock songs "L.U.S.H." and "Walk It Out" in late October.
Jaded Productions was given the opportunity to speak with the band during their press conference with °1824. There, we got to ask them questions about their new singles and get an exclusive look at two new music videos. There is no date detailing when these videos can be expected, but trust us, they will be worth the wait!
When asked to describe "L.U.S.H.," the band used five words: naughty, urgent, intimidating, cool, and saucy. Those words are easy to agree with once listening to the tracks, which they are extremely proud of, just like the rest of the work on this album.
Reece Bibby, Blake Richardson, and George Smith have been making music together since 2015, and they say that this album truly represents who they are as people and as a band. Their first album, released in 2020, was good for kids coming into the music industry but it wasn’t truly who they are, they added. The difference between the two is that they wrote everything themselves for this album, whereas for their first album, many songs were written for them. With this release, they have more ownership over their sound and are able to tell the stories they want.
Recently in Asia, New Hope Club played their first headlining festival, where they said that they “did not expect anyone to show up.” However, they were extremely off; it was packed! This was great for them because they absolutely love to perform for fans! They even mentioned how surreal and amazing it is to have their music reach so many different people across the world.
This new era that New Hope Club is entering is all about authenticity, and it’s easy to see who they really are: three best friends making music they love together. They told all kinds of stories, but one of my favorites was the time they lived together in a hotel room for months. They even talked about getting matching tattoos!
It’s always fun to see artists who truly are having fun with what they are doing, and that's what New Hope Club is all about. Blake, George, and Reece are excited to get this music out to the world and start playing more live shows. Keep an eye out for upcoming release dates on their social media, and if you haven't, go listen to "L.U.S.H." and "Walk It Out."
